Why I started this blog

My journey in the Information Technology industry began as a hobby through childhood until I started to question what is the internet? How does it work? Where is it located? Is it a machine? Who owns it? That was the beginning of a life-time journey. I simply had to know every aspect of it. Now, writing this blog from the comfort of my own home listening to the faint roars of server fans I FINALLY know! I started with computers, dissecting every connection and what its purpose was. Then began experimenting with Wi-Fi and multiplayer games. My love for playing games with friends was a gateway for me to learn how to run our very own servers which involves…the internet… Then I had to ask another question, what is a server? How do I make one and let people connect? After countless hours of YouTube videos, cups of coffee, sleepless nights refusing to go to sleep until my question was answered I had my very own server. It was a junky, old, desktop computer that needed upgrades which came eventually. Without any idea, I was heading exactly in the right direction to answer my questions about the internet. Once I understood how a server connected to a computer I just had to have my own server for everything possible. Now, this website and many others are being served right from my very basement on a pallet! I have built an entire personal infrastructure to experiment with and I decided to start lab2prod as an inspiration to others. If you feel you cannot learn something, understand that failure is just testing. Take it from me, I didn’t think it would work either until it did!
